Wharton West Reception and Technology Showcase

June 21, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Location: Wharton West Facility

This kick-off event for Supernova 2006 offers a unique opportunity to connect with technology and business leaders, as well as members of the extended Wharton community. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served. All Supernova attendees are invited. 

Along with the reception, a special Technology Showcase will feature select products demonstrated by the creators of today’s most compelling new connected technologies.

Supernova Gala and Connected Innovators Presentations

June 22, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Location: Palace Hotel

Our gala reception will feature hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and, most important, the high-quality networking that is a Supernova hallmark. 

Alongside the reception, the 12 Supernova 2006 Connected Innovators will present their companies in a special showcase.  The presentations will also be accessible virtually within the massively multi-player online world of Second Life.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to see the latest innovations from Yahoo!, at a special demo area.

Future of the Desktop Round-Table

June 23, from 12:30pm to 2:00pm

On the final day of Supernova, a special lunch-time seminar will bring together leading experts and industry representatives to consider the future of computer interfaces.  The dominant desktop operating systems and productivity applications are two decades old.  With the growth of the web and mobile devices, the stand-alone software model is bound to change.  The future of the desktop will have important effects on hundreds of millions of people who use PCs and desktop applications every day.
